Blogpost 2: Human Body

Studying human body isn't that easy, but I was amazed when I discover that Leonardo da Vinci made an experiment about human anatomy and it is almost the same as the modern studies.

I read an article entitled "Leonardo da Vinci and the Study of Human Anatomy" by Timothy Sexton of voices.yahoo.com. It says that Leonardo started studying human body back from his apprenticeship with Andra del Verrocchio. Leonardo was given a permission by a hospital in Florence to study human body by the use of corpses. He also study many animals. He study human body by drawing it in his compiled notebooks. Soon he moved his studies in skeletal system and internal organs such as liver, lungs and sexual organs. "Da Vinci was a scientific genius as well as an artistic one."

Leonardo gave a lot of his patience in his studies , the same as us. We also need to sacrifice many things just for the sake of our success, besides it is worth it.

I also read an article entitled "Human Body Part that Stumped Leonardo da Vinci Revealed" by Stephanie Pappas of livescience.com. The articles says that Leonardo da Vinci's human anatomy illustration was surprisingly accurate and it is almost a 500 year old. However he made a one mistake, his female reproductive anatomy was wrong. Its says that Leonardo had a hard time finding a female corpse to experiment with, thats why he made a little mistake. "The Italian Renaissance artist learned anatomy as a way to improve his drawings of the human form, but he also brought a scientist's eye to the discipline."

Nobody is perfect. Even the greatest ones commit mistakes.
